Write a hook in three seconds.

The opening of a short video decides whether anyone sees the rest. A good hook is specific, visual and honest. Here are formulas that work for products.

Hook formulas

The question"Still ironing your kurtas every morning?" Name the problem your product solves.
The specific number"7 days, one serum." Numbers feel concrete, but only use ones you can back.
The revealStart on the closed box or covered product and open it in the first second.
Before and afterShow the after first, then rewind to the before.
The price drop"Under ₹999." When price is the reason to buy, lead with it.
Call out the buyer"For anyone with a small balcony." People stop for things meant for them.

Keep it honest

A hook that promises something the video does not deliver loses viewers and trust. Make the claim, then show it.

Adcrevia writes the hook from your product details and shows it to you in the plan before anything is made, so you can change it.

Good to know

Should the hook be text or voice? Both. The words on screen catch people watching on mute; the voice holds people listening.
